Dance studio rules are for the benefit of all students.
the consistent practice of dance class/performance etiquette as well as dress code.
Boys and girls MUST wear the correct uniform for class, long hair should be tied back and jewellery should not be worn for the safety of all. Uniforms can be sized at classes and ordered via Dance Studio. Examination pupils will be advised of the exact requirements needed when they receive their exam invitation letter; all exam pupils must have pristine (and correctly-fitting) regulation uniform. Please ensure you order any items required in good time. Toddlers and parents wear comfortable clothing (i.e. leggings, sweatpants, shorts) and dance barefoot. Students who identify as gender non-conforming may choose the dress code they are most comfortable with.
Pupils are advised to bring water and snacks as required for class however all rubbish must be binned and not left under seats. NO gum, drink or food allowed inside the dance studio. Please use the restroom or get a drink of water at any time.
Please contact the Office for any matters of this nature which will be attended to speedily by Experienced, Senior Management Staff. Dance education requires “hands-on” instruction, as well as verbal instruction. Instructors will regularly correct children by touching their arms, legs, feet, hips, back and head to move them to the correct position. Instructors will also verbally correct students during class. The students are required to know the routines and are expected to practice at home.
Music used in class is provided for educational use only. If you wish to perform to the music in any venue, you need to purchase an original copy of artist’s music. If you hear other music that you like that we don’t use specifically for choreography or tribal performances, I can provide you with contact information to purchase it. A copy of primary and emergency contact numbers will be kept on class registers.
